Four Marriage Services Offered at The Counseling Office

1. The 6 hour PREP Marriage Seminar...for all couples

The Counseling Office offers the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) 6 hour  seminar.  PREP is based on over 15 years of research and developed at the University of Denver.  It is possibly the best marriage education program available and it was developed for all couples, from the newly involved to the long-time partners. PREP has been shown to increase marital satisfaction and to be effective in helping to prevent divorce.  PREP research has successfully identified what couples need to do to keep their marriage happy.  The PREP class teaches couples how to communicate clearly and safely, what men and women want differently from marriage, the four biggest mistakes couples make, how to solve problems as a team, how to enhance fun, friendship and intimacy in your marriage and much more.

2. Marriage Preparation Coaching...for engaged and newlywed couples

The Counseling Office offers the PREPARE program for couples who want to make sure they are fully prepared and getting their marriage off to the right start.  The PREmarital Personal And Relationship Evaluation(PREPARE) program was developed out of the University of Minnesota and it has been shown to be effective in helping couples learn what they need to know to be prepared for marriage.  Whether you're getting married in your 20's, 40's, or 60's.  PREPARE!

3. Marriage Enrichment Coaching...for all married couples

For  married couples who want to take their relationship to the next level.  The Counseling Office offers the ENRICH program (ENriching Relationship Issues, Communication and Happiness.) ENRICH was developed out of the University of Minnesota and it has been shown effective in helping couples improve their communications and increase their marital happiness.

4. Marriage Problem Solving...for individuals and couples in distress

There will always be some problems in marriage.  Unfortunately, sometimes your marriage can get stuck.  Some problems just don't seem to go away, or they keep popping up over and over again.  Sometimes you're not even sure what the problem is, you just know you're not happy.  That's why The Counseling Office provides individual and couples counseling.  The counseling process is a form of specialized marriage education that is individually tailored to the needs and concerns of each person's marital situation.  It is designed to help you learn what  went wrong and what you need to do to get your marriage moving again, and to resolve those problems once and for all.
